GALLEGOS -- Rose S. Gallegos, 81, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on September 25, 2009 at home with her loving family at her side. Mrs. Gallegos is survived by her children, Bernie Baca Jr. and wife, Alice, George Gallegos Sr. and fiancee, Sheryl, Debra Gallegos, Robin Burris and husband, Johnny; her sister, Becky Gonzales; her brother, Cristobal Saavedra and wife Julia; her grandchildren, Berninie III, Nathan, Dominic, Freddie, George Jr., Paul, Cassie, Johnny Jr., Michael, and Ricky Jr.; 10 great-grandchildren; her very special and loved Goddaughters, Veronica and Annie; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Gallegos was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Miquela Saavedra; her husband, Lorenzo Gallegos; son, Rick Gallegos Sr.; granddaughter, Nina Gallegos; and her grandson, David Milagro Lorenzo Gallegos. Mrs. Gallegos was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Sunday, September 27, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 563 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., by Lorraine and Dorothy. Final visitation will be Monday at the Church from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated 9:00 a.m., Father Jerry Steinmetz, presider. Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nathan Baca, Rick Gallegos Jr., Freddie Ramirez, George Gallegos Jr., Johnny Burris Jr., and Michael Burris.
