MONTOYA -- V. Michael Montoya (Raven), 56, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on September 17, 2009. Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Lorraine Montoya; his children, Felicia L. Campos and fiance, Paul Gallegos, Michael A. Montoya and wife, Tiauna, Valerie A. Montoya and partner, Patrick Gomez; his mother, Lucille Montoya; his sisters, Yolanda Montoya and Elisia Montoya; his brothers, Ted Montoya and wife, Dottie, Juan Montoya, and Jacob Montoya; nine grandchildren and one on the way; and many other extended family and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Vivian Montoya; and his son, Jeremy Campos. Michael was a member of the Catholic Church; a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam Era; a driver for 10 years for A.B.F.; and a member of Teamsters Local 492. Visitation will be Monday, September 21, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by the Legion of Mary. Final visitation will be Tuesday morning at the Church from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., Father Gene Gries, presider. Interment will follow at Pajarito Cemetery. Pallbearers will Joseph Tapia, Paul Gallegos, David C. Montoya, Jacob Montoya, Michael Montoya, and Donald Wood. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven and Joe Tapia, Ted, Juan, John, Juanito, Robert and Stephen Montoya. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the UNM Children's Cancer Research Center, 1700 Lomas Blvd., NE, Two Woodward Ctr., Suite 100, Albuq., NM 87102.
