SOESBE -- Glenn Terry Soesbe died on Sunday, August 23, 2009, aged 67, near Madrid, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his son Douglas Glenn Soesbe; his mother Edith Rose Audiss; and his father Glenn Francis Soesbe. Terry was born on June 18, 1942 in Yuma, Arizona. After graduating from Espanola High School and New Mexico State University, he attended dental school at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. He served with the Veterans Administration in Kansas City, in Marlin and Temple, Texas, completed a periodontics residency in Los Angeles, CA, and continued with the VA in Miami, FL and San Antonio, TX. In San Antonio, he established a private practice in periodontal surgery in San Antonio until he moved to the Albuquerque area ten years ago, where he continued to practice periodontics and dentistry until his death. Throughout his life, Terry was a kind and generous man who always helped a friend in need and freely gave a strong hand and a big smile. Physically active, he bicycled, lifted weights, and hiked through the New Mexico forests, even after two battles with colon cancer and a knee replacement. Terry continually expanded his education, pursuing interests in writing, philosophy, politics and music. Social and outgoing, Terry loved spending an evening with family and friends sharing good food, good wine, and good conversation. His positive outlook, humor, and passion for life infected everyone who encountered him. Dearly loved, Glenn Terry Soesbe is greatly missed and will be fondly remembered. Terry is survived by his wife Suzette B. Soesbe; son Jeff (spouse Charlotte Newcomb, children Eleanor and Ava); daughter Susan (spouse Deanna Sykes); son Todd (spouse Sinead Clifford Soesbe, children Finnley and Lenna); their mother Carol Scheutzel Soesbe; stepson Bryan Beasley (spouse Angela, children Cassandra, Brianna and Alexander); sisters Abbie Rathbun and Sheryl Hawkins; brothers Rod Soesbe and Jack Soesbe; and numerous other relatives and friends. In accordance with his wishes, Terry was cremated without a formal funeral. A memorial service will be held at the Edgewood Masonic Lodge No. 82 in Edgewood, New Mexico on Sunday, September 20, 2009 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
