GARCIA -- Rudolfo P. Garcia, 82, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Rudolfo was preceded in death by his parents, Refugio and Carmen Garcia; and sisters Eloisa Garcia, Rita Garcia, Isabel Garcia, Rose Garcia; and brother Salvador Garcia. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Angelita N. Garcia; and sons Roy Garcia and wife Patricia, Charles Garcia, and Rudolfo (Rudy) M. Garcia; and daughter Rose Garcia, and one granddaughter Rochelle Garcia. He is also survived by one remaining brother Leo Garcia and wife Mary. He was very much loved by his sister-in-law Teresa Tirado and husband Angel Tirado and many nephews and nieces. Rudolfo and his brothers and sisters were the original owners of the El Modelo Tortilla Factory which explained his love for Mexican food. Rudolfo was a veteran of the Korean War and was proud to serve his country. Rudolfo was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church where he had the extreme pleasure of serving as Captain Usher at St. Charles Parish. After retiring as an employee from the City of Albuquerque, he continued working as a crossing guard for 23 years. He loved Mariachi music and had recently begun taking guitar lessons. Rudolfo's sense of humor will be very much missed by all who knew him. A final viewing will be held at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday, September 14, 2009 with the reciting of the Rosary at 9:30 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10 am.
