LOPEZ -- Veneranda "Bennie" Moseley Lopez, a lifelong resident of Belen, NM passed away from pancreatic cancer with her family by her side on Sunday, September 6, 2009 at the age of 82. Bennie was born on August 14, 1927 to Elisia S. and Charlie Moseley. Bennie was preceded in death by her husband, Florencio B. Lopez; sons, Charlie Lopez, Lorenzo Lopez Sr. and Leonard Eugene Lopez; daughters, Dorothy Ann Lopez and Mary Lopez; mother, Elisia Moseley and father, Charlie Moseley. She is survived by her children, Guillermo Lopez, Alvino Lopez, Vicenta Lopez, Dennis Lopez, Lucy and Fernando Saiz, Elizabeth and Roy Guiterrez, and Lorenzo and Kathy Lopez. She is also survived by many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers; sisters; nieces; nephews; cousins; and other family and friends who loved her and will miss her. A Viewing Remembrance will take place at Calvary Chapel, Rio Grande Valley in Belen on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. Services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. A Viewing will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 11, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Alvino Lopez, Lorenzo Lopez, Dennis Lopez, Fernando Saiz, Ben Barnes, and Eddie Barger. The family of Bennie Lopez acknowledges, with sincere appreciation, your understanding, prayers, and all acts of kindness extended during this time of bereavement.
