HARLIN -- Robert L. Harlin, 87, passed away Monday, September 7, 2009. Robert Harlin was a veteran of World War II having served in the European Theater. He was a retired Iron Worker, during his free time he was an avid hunter and enjoyed farming with his son-in-law on their farm in Texas. He is survived by his wife, Lenora Harlin; daughter, Glenda and husband, Vance Gandy; grandson, James Grogan and wife, Denise; great-grandsons, Jay and Christian; sister-in-law, Bobbie Jo Van Winkle; and nieces and nephews. Mr. Harlin was preceded in death by his son, Alton Robert Harlin; parents, Luther and Marie; and brother, Lee Harlin. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 10, 2009, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Wednesday, September 9, 2009, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
