ROGERS -- John S. Rogers, Jr. passed away peacefully on the morning of August 1, 2009. He was born in Homer, Louisiana on July 10, 1923 and had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1968. John was retired from the U.S. Air Force and was a B-29 Flight Engineer during WWII. After the military he worked for the University of New Mexico from which he also retired. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary; his son John and his wife, Sandi; his son Gary; and his beloved dog, Roy; as well as his sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, longtime friends and neighbors. Please remember John in your thoughts and prayers. Per his express wishes there will be no services. Cremation has taken place by French Mortuary. He was a good man. Rest in Peace, Daddy.
