MARTINEZ -- Leonardita Martinez, 71, life long resident of Albuquerque, passed away July 18, 2009, with her family at her side. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty three years, Tony; her children, daughter Diana Alfaro and husband Joe; son Michael Martinez; daughter Shirley Sanchez; and son Pat Martinez; four sisters Lupe Salazar, Gloria Muller, Cleo Marquez and Geneva Garcia; ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Leonardita was preceded in death by her parents, Andres and Anita Garcia; one grandson, Julius Sanchez; and her sister Candelaria Herrera. Rosary will be recited on Monday, July 20, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Child Catholic Parish, 19 Camino del Santo Nino, Tijeras, NM 87059. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, also at Holy Child Parish, with burial following at the Chilili Cemetery.
