RIVERA -- Rudy Eugene Rivera, 53, passed away suddenly of a heart attack on June 22, 2009. A longtime resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Rudy is survived by his mother Bobbie Rivera; daughter Addison Rivera-Dominguez and husband Jeremy; Addison's mother Gigi Blanchard; granddaughter Arianna Dominguez; sister Elaine Breen and husband Larry; beloved uncles Marty Valdez and Arthur Valdez and wife Betti; his dear uncles and aunts Celine, Martha, and Viola of Santa Fe; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Rudy's joys included being a fifth-degree Black Belt in karate, fishing and enjoying the outdoors, coordinating tours of Costa Rica, and spending time with loved ones, especially his granddaughter. He will be remembered for his loyal heart, joyful spirit, and the laughter he shared. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Queen of Heaven Parish, 5311 Phoenix Ave NE 87110. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to an education fund for Rudy's precious granddaughter Arianna Rivera-Dominguez through Wells Fargo Bank.
