FARMER -- Jack H. Farmer Jr. June 7, 2009 GONE FISHING! Nisa's making sandwiches and Kenny & I are getting the boat ready! November 20, 1934, Jack Herschel Farmer Jr. was born in Roswell, NM to Judine Wilburn and Jack Herschel Farmer Sr. As a young boy he lived in Santa Rita, NM, and later moved to Albuquerque, NM. There he attended Ernie Pyle Jr. High and graduated from Albuquerque High School. Jack married his high school sweetheart, Venetia Elkins, and they began their family two years later. While attending UNM, Jack worked at Albuquerque Foundry and Iron Works until it's closing in 1969. That same year, he founded ForgeMaster Iron Inc. with Cecil Lopez, a friend and co-worker from the Foundry. Now the next generation will carry ForgeMaster Iron Inc. into the future. During the next fifty-four years, he and "Nisa" grew their family, Leslie, Max, Sean, Lissa, Joe, Lisa, Eric, Little Joe, Dean, Checko, Amanda, Ray, Dezi, Meklo, Stephanie, Lindsie Jacq, Madison, Jordan, Jacob, Cori, Mocha, Shawn "Cougar"; brothers-in-law, Brad and Wally; nieces, Stacy and Jana; nephew, Scott; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. He will follow to Heaven, Nisa, Judine, Jack Sr., Florence, George, and other beloved clansmen and friends. His "day family" was equally loved and appreciated. We thank you for the friendships you shared with Dad. In lieu of flowers, Jack would smile if you considered a donation to The Boys and Girls Ranch, 6209 Hendrix Rd. NE, 2 FL, Albuquerque, NM 87110 or St. Mary's School Building Fund, C/O Immaculate Conception Church, 619 Copper NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
