APGAR -- Dorothy Hachtmann Apgar was born to John Henry James and Eleanor (Jacobsen) Hachtmann on January 23, 1921 in Anthony, New Jersey. She passed away on April 24, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 88. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Apgar; brothers, John and Robert Hachtmann and twin sister, Evelyn McCathern. She is survived by her sister, Lenora Reilly, Orange Park, Florida; sons, Rodney and wife, Deborah Apgar, Garden Ridge, Texas, and Glen and wife, Janis Apgar, Montgomery, Alabama; grandchildren, Kerri Apgar, Universal City, Texas, Megan Apgar, Montgomery, Alabama, and Bryan Apgar, Dallas, Texas, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 2, 2009 followed by Funeral Services to be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the Schertz Funeral Home with Chaplain Albert Ramirez officiating. An additional Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Interment will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.
