MONTANO -- John Paul Montano passed away Sunday, April 26, 2009 in Albuquerque at the age of 76. Mr. Montano is survived by his wife, Katy Montano; children, Gary Montano, Ivan Montano, Marie Alvarez, Ruby Montano, and Linda Baca and husband, Larry; brothers and sisters and their families, Tony Montano, Lily Lanas, Robert Montano, Mary Tamez, Joe Montano and Frank Montano; grandchildren, Angelic Montano, Lamar Montano, Lauren Baca and Lexi Baca; and great-grandchild, Jimmy Paul. A Rosary for Mr. Montano will be recited on Wednesday evening, April 29, 2009 at Salazar & Sons Mortuary at 7:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Martinez Cemetery in Martinez, NM. Pallbearers will be Gary Montano, Ivan Montano, Larry Baca, Frank Montano, Joe Montano and Modesto Martinez.
