SANCHEZ -- Mike F. Sanchez "Babe", a native New Mexican, born on Nov 25, 1923, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at his home where he lived for 51 years. Mr. Sanchez is survived by his sons, Pastor Robert Sanchez and wife, Susan, of Riverside, CA, Michael Sanchez and wife, Pat, of Las Vegas, NV, and Joseph Sanchez and wife, Pam, of Bernalillo; his brother, Joe Sanchez; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Antonia Maria Teresa Aguilar Sanchez, and his parents, Felipe and Anacita. Babe was a World War II Army Veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. He loved God, his country, his family, and his many friends. He was very involved in Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Community, his neighborhood, and many organizations. A Rosary will be recited by Charles Aguilar on Thursday, April 30, 2009, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, also Friday, 7:00 p.m. at Santuario de San Lorenzo in Bernalillo with the Mass being celebrated Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Bernalillo, NM.
