DUBEN -- Nora K. Duben was lifted into our Lord's loving arms April 22, 2009 at the age of 87. Born to Frank and Nellie Sepnieski, Inn keepers in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, on November 11, 1921. She married Joseph J. Duben and began a family. In 1952, with children in tow, Joe and Nora moved to New Mexico. They lived in Albuquerque and Los Alamos while raising their five children and two Cuban refugees, Mimi and Kiki Sabates. She was a Green Bay Packer fan and loved to watch the games with her family. Nora had her own drapery business in the 1970's and loved to please her clients through her creations. The past few years she has called Hutchison Assisted Living her home. Nora's family would like to thank the staff and residents for the loving care and many kindnesses bestowed on her. Nora was a loving and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph J. Duben; daughter, Tina Gray; grandchildren, Ronnie Mervyn, Terry Mervyn, Jennifer (Duben) Adams, and Tyler Fitzpatrick. Nora is survived by her brother Pat Sepnieski and wife Dee; children, Pat Mervyn, Joe Duben and wife Nancy, Ellen Flynn and husband Jim, Mickey Fitzpatrick and husband Ed, and son-in-law Paul Gray. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Cathy Vecchio and husband Pat, Stephen Duben, John Flynn and wife Kris, Kelly Flynn and Laura, Ryan Gray, and Kyle Gray; 11 great grandchildren, Josh, Katie, Joe, Caleb, Keith, Lorren, Justin, James, Jasmine, Bailey, and Emmett. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Chapel. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made in Nora's name to Animal Humane Society of NM, 615 SE Virginia NE, 217-0301.
