BRYAN -- H. Lee Bryan was born in Corinth, Mississippi on March 25, 1937. He was the son of Howard L. Bryan, Sr. and Maggie Gresham Bryan. Lee passed away on April 9, 2009. Lee served in the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve and worked in various aspects of the oil industry before earning a degree in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Texas at Austin. In his early years he managed a folk music club and coffee house in Austin and booked acts including Janis Joplin and Jerry Jeff Walker. Lee worked for the Bureau of Land Management at the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, the Outer Continental Shelf Office in New Orleans, and the Albuquerque District Office before completing his career at the Federal Executive Board. He had a passion for golf and a love for racing cars, motorcycles and piloting airplanes. Lee is survived by many good friends. He will be missed. A Memorial Gathering will take place on May 9, 2009 at his residence at 5:00 p.m. Call 292-5570 for more information.
