REDDIN-HUGHES -- Marguerite Reddin-Hughes died February 1, 2009 in St. Marys, KS. Marguerite was born in Albuquerque to John J. and Roberta Gene Reddin. She graduated from St. Mary's HS in 1954. She earned a BS in Home Economics from NM A&M, and married in 1958. In early family life in Texas, they moved often, due to her husband's job while raising four children, and she became well known as a professional cake decorator and gourmet cook. She and her family lived in Norway for 12 years where her adventurous heart prompted her to plan vacations for pilgrimage, historical cities for education, and sites of all major apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In 1987, she moved to St. Marys, KS. The sung Requiem Mass was celebrated February 10, 2009 in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in St. Marys. She is survived by four children, Kathleen, Dolores, Thomas Hughes Jr., and Molly Trudeau; and seven grandchildren. Other survivors are brothers Thomas Reddin of Minneapolis, James Reddin of Albuquerque; former husband Thomas Hughes, Sr. of Houston. Her brother, John J. Reddin, Jr.; and grandson, John Trudeau pre-deceased her.
