PITTS -- Hazel Marie Pitts, May 25, 1918 - February 26, 2009 Hazel Pitts passed away on February 26, 2009, of natural causes. She resided at La Vida Llena Retirement Community in Albuquerque. She was born in Howard County, Arkansas on May 25, 1918. Her family moved to Grady County, Oklahoma, where she lived until moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2002. In Chickasha, Oklahoma, she met and married Louis Pitts on February 26, 1939. In Chickasha, she was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 12 years, served as Chickasha City Treasurer for three years and retired from Little Nick Oil Company in 1984. Louis preceded her in death in 1997. She is survived by her son, Herb and wife, Rita of Albuquerque; a grandson, Brett, his wife, Nicole and granddaughter, Colette of Oakland, California. She leaves many dear friends at La Vida Llena as well as many wonderful lifetime friends in Chickasha. There will be a Memorial Service at La Vida Llena, 10501 Lagrima de Oro NE, Albuquerque on March 13, 2009 at 2:00 pm in Carter Hall.
