ARMIJO -- Ruth Mary Moralee Armijo, loving wife, mother, beloved grandmother, and friend died at home on February 27, 2009. Ruth was born in Du Bois, PA, on September 27, 1914 and moved to Detroit at the age of nine. She met her future husband, Dave, when she was a senior in high school, and married him on June 17, 1933. She was preceded in death by her husband David J. Jr., two sons, David J. III & James Andrew; and granddaughter Susan. She is survived by her son Steven; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Ruth asked for donations to be sent in her name to Mano de Ayuda, Box 815084, Dallas, TX, 75381, an orphanage she and Dave supported for decades. Ruth has donated her body to Life Legacy of Tucson, AZ for medical research. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church with a reception to follow.
