SANCHEZ -- Emma A. Sanchez, 89, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away at home on February 24, 2009, with her loving family at her side. Mrs. Sanchez is survived by her daughter, Linda A. Salas and husband, Arthur R. (Art) Sr.; two grandchildren, Lisa Steward and husband, Allen, Artie Salas Jr. and fiancee, Rachel Zubel; five great-grandchildren, Justin and Mackenzie Kear, Seth Steward, Shileen and Brendon Salas; her great friends, the Torres family and the Konst family; many nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Sanchez was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus C. Sanchez; and her sister, Tillie Grant. Visitation will be Sunday, March 1, 2009 from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m., Charlie Gallegos, reciter. Final visitation will be Monday, March 2, 2009 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Father John Daniels, presider. Pallbearers will be Art Salas Sr., Art Salas Jr., Allen Steward, Robert Torres Sr., Robert Torres Jr., Edward Torres. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne and Ruth Konst, Paula Torres, Karen Cooper, and Mrs. Sanchez's great-grandchildren.
