LUCERO -- Pete A. Lucero, 95, life long resident of New Mexico, currently living in Albuquerque, passed away on February 12, 2009. He is survived by his daughter Patricia Ann Lucero and husband William Jackson; sons, Pedro Adolfo Lucero and wife Santana, and Tomas Luis Lucero and wife Linda; grandchildren, Anna Tromp and husband Dirck, Catherine Provencal and husband Robert, Donia Sabus and husband Ted, John Lucero, Joshua Lucero and wife Cynthia, Erin Lucero, Brandon Lucero, and Ryan Lucero; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita "Jane" Candelaria of Albuquerque, and Corine Gallegos of Vaughn and numerous nieces, nephews, and a large extended family. Pete was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Ramona G. Lucero; and his sister Maryanne Tenorio. He will always be remembered as a loving father and grandfather. Pete was a successful business owner in Vaughn. He was a decorated veteran of WWII where he proudly served with the US Army. Pete was very active in the Catholic Church, as well as various community organizations. Friends and family may visit French Mortuary, Lomas location, on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 7:00 p,m. Funeral Service will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona SE. Graveside Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Pinos Wells Cemetery.
