GOMEZ -- Christian Michael Gomez A Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2009 in Albuquerque to celebrate the life of Christian Michael Gomez. Chris, a 1990 graduate of Del Norte High School, was fatally injured in an automobile accident in Roswell, Georgia, on November 18, 2008. Born in Okinawa, Japan, in 1973, Chris enjoyed many years in Albuquerque before joining the U.S. Navy, an experience that introduced him to numerous foreign countries. In 2000, he received a degree in audio production from the Seattle Art Institute, after which he began a career in the music electronics industry. Music was his passion. The son of Art Gomez of Santa Fe and Annie Morningstar of Albuquerque, Chris is also survived by his widow Hikaru of Roswell, Georgia, his brother Paul Gomez, nephews Max and Quincy Gomez-Wright of Houston, Texas, and his stepmother, Penny Gomez of Santa Fe. During his brief time on earth, Chris touched many people worldwide. He will be fondly remembered.
