BALDONADO -- Florenio B. Baldonado, age 86, beloved brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully, Monday, February 2, 2009. He was born on March 12, 1922 in Albuquerque, to the late Nativida and Severo R. Baldonado. Florenio was proud Veteran of the United States Army, who served his country during World War II, in England, France and Germany. He was a graduate of Browning College. He retired from Sandia National Labs after 34 years of employment, where he was fondly known as "Baldy". He was preceded in death by his wife Leonila L. Baldonado, November 2004; six brothers; and two sisters. Florenio is survived by his brothers-in-law, Ross C. Lopez, Lesman Chavez; his nephew, Bonifacio Baldonado; his niece, Mildred B. Sanchez; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Florenio will be greatly missed by all. Visitations will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, where a Rosary will be recited Sunday at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Monday at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Military Honors will be accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Santa Fe Post #2951 Honor Guard. Casket Bearers will be Kenneth R. Sanchez, David A. Sanchez, Luis Marquez, Joseph Lesman Chavez, Johnny Martinez, and Clarence Montoya.
