GOTTLIEB -- Lenore Ann Gottlieb, 67, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, "adopted mother", consummate teacher, lifelong Girl Scout and resident of Albuquerque since 1964, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2009. She was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1941 and then was a resident of Fairfield, CT. She is survived by her loving husband Harold; daughters, Francine Corgan and husband Stephen and Mara Gottlieb Lopez and husband Leopold Lopez II; grandchildren, David Lopez, Megan Corgan, Alicia Lopez, Kimberly Corgan, Jennifer Corgan and Branden Lopez; sister, Sue Levy and husband Dr. Theodore Levy, and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was known as Mrs. " G " to hundreds of students and special education students throughout APS over the course of more than thirty years in Albuquerque. Past students, who are now mothers, still remember her as a beloved teacher and friend to all who knew her. She was very dedicated to her friends and family. Lenore loved to travel, knit (all family members have an afghan) listen to Broadway show music and loved animals of all kinds. She also read mysteries by the car load but most of all she loved her family. She never missed a birthday, anniversary, graduation, holiday, or good report card. Hallmark loved her. Lenore loved to help her grandchildren with homework and watch them at sports and at play. Services will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2009, 1:00 p.m., at Temple Albert, 3800 Louisiana Blvd, NE with interment following at Fairview Cemetery.
