MONROE -- Marcella Monroe went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 13, 2009. She was born Sunday, September 23, 1934 to Mr. and Mrs. Elias Monroe in Las Vegas, NM. She is survived by her beloved sons, Gino Garcia of Albuquerque and Tony Garcia and wife, EmmyLou of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Monique, Anthony, Brandon, Andrew; great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Abigail, Jayden; brothers, Ramon Monroe and Elias Monroe Jr.; sisters, Dora Osborn and Lucille Madrid; neice, Carmen Martinez; and nephew, Robert Kypta. She was preceded by her parents; sister, Cipriana Brashear; brother, Arthur Monroe; and grandson, Gabriel Garcia. Marcella retired from Mountain Bell Telephone Co. after 30 years of service. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Rosary and Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Friday, January 16, 2009 beginning at 10:15 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
