PADILLA -- Roland (Mando) Padilla, 56, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Emma Padilla and sister, Baby Theresa. He is survived by his sisters Theresa Medoro of Winchester, VA, Helen Padilla and partner Gary Hickman of Arlington, TX, Conchie Halas and husband Geno, Maxine Di Bernardo and husband Joe; brother Richard Padilla all of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Rosary will be recited Friday, January 2, 2009, 7:00 p.m., at French, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 3, 2009, 10:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5301 Claremont N.E. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gabriel Padilla, Jeremy Halas, Jonathon Halas, Richard Padilla, Jr., Izaak Cordova, Joseph Di Bernardo, Darren Casias, and Nick Ortega. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carlos Herrera and Joseph Torres. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Friday, one hour prior to the Rosary.
