COOK -- Richard A. Cook, 89, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Juanita; two sons Mark Cook and his wife Rose and Nile Cook and his wife Joan; grandchildren Sheri Weber and her husband Fernando, Scot Cook and his wife Stephanie, Cheryl Crusan and her husband Charlie and Michelle Cook; great-grandchildren Brittany, Kayla, and Amber Weber and Alexia and Dominic Cook; brother J. Wilmer Cook and three sisters Clarice Colbert, Carol Appleget and Joann Pitch. Richard was preceded in death by his parents John and Pearl Cook; brother Fredrick Cook and two sisters Ruth Appleget and Wanda Beasley. He spent most of his life farming in Iowa and continued his love for the outdoors with his lawn care service in Albuquerque. Richard will always be remembered as an honest, hardworking and devoted family man, grandfather, friend and storyteller. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2009 at French Mortuary, Lomas location. Interment will take place in Sigourney, Iowa.
