OLIVAS -- Joe A. Olivas Sr., 62, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away December 10, 2008. Mr. Olivas is survived by his wife of 41 years, Clara Olivas; children, Joe Olivas Jr. and wife, Kathy, Debbie Blevins and husband, Howard; sister, Rose Purcella and her deceased husband, Johnny; brother, Larry S. Olivas and wife, Mary P.; grandchildren, Randy, Brittnie, Monique, Felicia, Johanna, Kathryn; aunts, Preiconda Padilla, Patsy Macias; very close nephew, Joe Juan Purcella; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Olivas was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo and Raquel Olivas; sister, Bernice Olivas and niece, Bernice Purcella. Final visitation will be Saturday, December 13, 2008 from 8:15 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. at the Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 8:45 a.m., by Willie and Vilma Sanchez. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the Rosary, Father Edmund Sevilla presider. Interment will follow at Los Padillas Cemetery.
