POLAK -- Edward Francis Polak Sr., a resident of Albuquerque since 1979, died November 28, 2008. He was born in New York and lived the first 40 years of his life in upstate New York and Long Island. He retired in 1994, after working for the telephone company for 40 years. Edward cared deeply for his family and enjoyed stamp collecting and helping people. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Doris; his sons Eddie and wife Julie, and Ken; his grandchildren Sean and Max; and other relatives and many friends. Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Frances; and his son Steven. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on December 9, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at Central Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2201 Estancia Dr. NW, with Pastor Don Gibson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Edward's name to the Animal Humane Association of New Mexico at (505) 255-5523.
