ABEYTA -- Arcelia Abeyta, age 95, passed away unexpectedly on December 2, 2008 in Santa Rosa. Arcelia was born July 3, 1913 in Puerto De Luna, NM to the home of Cipriano and Paublita Montoya Flores. She married Lucio Abeyta in December of 1938. Arcelia was a member of St. Rose of Lima Parish. She loved sewing and cooking. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son; Jose Lucio "Chio" Abeyta, brothers and sister; Benny Flores, Victor Flores, Honorato Flores, Alberto Flores and Beatrice Salazar. Survivors include her daughters; Margie Abeyta, Josie Pacheco and husband Orlando, Frances Lopez, Helen Abeyta, Mary Rose Abeyta and her son; Herman Abeyta all of Santa Rosa, her brother; Filomeno Flores and wife Erlinda of Puerto De Luna, 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary Services will be held on Friday, December 5, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. from Nuestra Senora de Refugio Church in Puerto De Luna Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m., also from Nuestra Senora de Refugio Church with Father Nick Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Nuestra Senora de Refugio Cemetery in Puerto De Luna. Serving as Pallbearers will be Shawn Lopez, Isaac Abeyta, Raul Lopez, Jonathan Garcia, Julian Velasquez, Paul Pacheco, Joseph Esquibel, Gabriel Esquibel, Ben Rael and Ricky Flores. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Filomeno Flores and all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
