MADRID -- Gilbert J. Madrid, Sr., age 45, beloved father, grandfather, son, and brother, was called home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, November 19, 2008. Gilbert was born on August 22, 1963 in Albuquerque, NM, and was a resident of Bernalillo, NM. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ernie; and a nephew, Jason. Gilbert is survived by his loving children, Gilbert Madrid, Jr. and fiance Crystal Martinez, Jeannette Madrid; and his precious grandchildren, Destiny, Kristiana, Izaiah, Nevaeh, and Giannah Madrid; his parents, Alex and Lizzie Madrid; brothers, Alex Madrid and wife Georgia, and Jay Madrid; sisters, Pamela Madrid, Sandra Chavez and husband James, Dorothy Gutierrez and husband Victor, Mildred Madrid and husband Leonard Chavez; many special nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends. Gilbert will be greatly missed by all. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo, followed by the Celebration of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery.
