DAVIS -- Georgia Ann Davis age 76, passed away in the early morning hours of November 20, 2008, after a long battle with lung disease. She was born Georgia Ann Coffey in Choteau, MT and raised on a nearby ranch. Her mother was a registered nurse and her father was a rancher and entrepreneur. She started her college education at the University of Montana at Missoula. During her early 20's she moved to Albuquerque where she married and had two sons. In the late 1960's she developed her passion and talent for art and earned a bachelor's degree in fine arts from UNM. She was an accomplished artist, painting with oils, charcoal, and watercolors. She also liked sculpturing. Her father and uncle were friends of the artist Charles M. Russell. In 1970 she moved to California and started her teaching career as a high school Art and English teacher. While in California she returned to her country roots, settled on a small farm and started her second family, giving birth to her third son in 1974. In 1984 she resettled in Corvallis, OR and worked for Oregon State University as a technical librarian until her retirement in 1995. Her later years were in Albuquerque where she received much joy spending time with her grand children and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and was an avid Bridge player. She is survived by her sons James Kadlec and wife Marjorie Kadlec, Emil R. Kadlec and wife Maria Kadlec and Charles Davis and wife Usha Davis. Surviving grandchildren are Tammy Kadlec, Nicholas Kadlec and wife Casey Kadlec, Emil A. Kadlec, Clark Kadlec, Tawny Davis and Keflar Davis, great-grandchildren Jade Spalding and Zoe Kadlec.
