APODACA -- Roman "Ray" C. Apodaca, age 82, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, was called home to be with the Lord, Friday, November 21, 2008, with his loving son and caretaker LeRoy at his side. He was born on May 26, 1926 in San Marcial, NM, and was a resident of Albuquerque. Ray enjoyed playing ball, the outdoors especially hunting, and spending pass time at the Casino. He was a Co-Owner of Apodaca Racing. He was preceded in death by his wife Fabiola Apodaca; brothers, Cipriano and Ernesto Apodaca. Ray is survived by his two sons, LeRoy Apodaca, and Danny Apodaca and his wife Anna; his grandson, Marcos Apodaca; three sisters; and numerous extended family members and friends. Ray will be greatly missed by all. Visitations will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, where a Rosary will be recited at 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 9:00 a.m. also at the Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
