MARTINEZ -- Matthew Thomas Martinez, 33, a resident of Albuquerque, born November 13, 1974, beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, went on an adventure to be with Mom on Tuesday, November 11, 2008. Together they will hold hands and walk into the Gates of Heaven, where his Dad, Grandparents, and Cousin awaits with open arms, as we know our Lord Jesus awaits with his parents. Matthew is survived by his only brother, Michael and sister-in-law, Roxie Cordova, both from Albuquerque. Other surviving family members are, aunts, Esther Pena and husband, Raymond of Albuquerque, Charlotte Valenzuela and husband, Lencho of Odessa, TX, Carmenita Anaya and Robert of Albuquerque, Sylvia Cordova and fiance, Toby of Albuquerque; uncles, Billy Cordova and wife, Carmen, Felimon Cordova and wife, Rita of Albuquerque, Freddy Cordova and wife, Eileen of Utah and many other cousins and friends. Matthew was employed at Karl Malone where he worked as a detailer. Matthew enjoyed the company of all his family and his many fun buddies at Karl Malone. Rosary will be recited Sunday, November 16, 2008, 6:00 p.m., at French on Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Monday, November 17, 2008, 9:00 a.m., at Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his only Godson, Adrian Cordova, Robert Cordova, Antonio Cordova, Jeremy Flores, Fabian Cordova, Jonathan Flores, Armando Cordova, Isaac Cordova, and Rudy Vallejos. Honorary pallbearers will be Phil Bustamantes, Fabian Cordova Jr., Donny Meyers and Marcos Schobey. Family and friends may visit Sunday, November 16, 2008, 5:00 p.m. to time of Rosary.
