MONTOYA -- Alex B. Montoya, 47, a lifelong resident of Old Town in Albuquerque, went to be with our Heavenly Father on October 18, 2008. Alex enjoyed fishing, hunting, arts, crafts, was a devoted San Francisco 49ers fan as well as NASCAR racing. Most importantly, he was a beloved son, father, grandfather, nephew and friend. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Pat and Carmen Chavez, and a brother, Phil DeVolk. Alex is survived by his loving parents, Gerald and Margaret DeVolk; his children, Andrea Jenkins and her husband, Billy, and Greg Montoya and his wife, Lisa Chavez; grandchildren, Bianca, Joshua, Noah, Isaiah, Heaven, and Andre; and a granddaughter on the way, Angel; siblings, Burt DeVolk, James DeVolk, and Leslie Burkett; uncles, Pat Chavez, Jr., Wilfred Chavez, and Joe Chavez; aunts, Pauline Perea Chavez, Becky Davis, and Frances Griego and her husband, Joseph; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. The Rosary will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 1:00 p.m., at the Palm Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 1100 Coal Ave SE.
