GELFAND -- Harriet Gelfand, 79, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 35 years, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2008. Harriet was born August 22, 1929 the daughter of Jack and Mary Bostoff in Bronx, NY. She had been a volunteer at Presbyterian Hospital for 30 years. Harriet was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Gelfand in 2006. She is survived by one son, Jack Gelfand and wife Elizabeth of Albuquerque; and one grandson, Jakob Gelfand. Cremation has taken place, and she will be placed with her husband at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
