He is survived by his mother, Janet Salas of Albuquerque, NM; his brothers, James W. Nichols of Farmington, NM and Andrew J. Nichols of Hobbs, NM. He is also survived by a son, Freddie Nichols III of Iowa and a favorite Aunt, Karen Gruette of Rio Rancho, NM; two other aunts, Sharon Mitchell of Rio Rancho, NM, Lana Trujillo of Alamogordo, NM; Larry Tarvin, a friend of his mother's; his father, Freddie Nichols of Louisiana. His grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James L. Ramsey and Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Nichols are both deceased. Freddie enjoyed watching wrestling on TV, football games and loved to read.
