PARKINS -- Lt. Todd Barry Parkins, 38, resident of Sandia Park passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Susan Parkins; sons, Owen and Austin; father, Barry Parkins and wife, Roxanne; mother, Kimberly Clifton and husband, Marty; brothers, Daniel Parkins and wife, Kelly and Josh Parkins and wife, Jennifer; and three nephews and one niece. Todd was born in Shreveport, LA and raised in Palos Verdes, CA. He loved horses and the outdoors and was a Grand National World Champion horseback rider. Todd was a graduate of Baylor University. Following in many family member's footsteps, he started his career with the Albuquerque Police Department and worked his way to becoming a lieutenant in the Traffic Unit. Todd was a follower of Jesus Christ and a member of Mountain Christian Church. The most important aspect of Todd's life was his wife and two sons. He spent his leisure time camping and fly fishing with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him. Services will be held Saturday, September 27, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at Hoffmantown Church, 8888 Harper Dr. NE. Friends may visit Friday, September 26, 2008, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
