CARMAN -- Edna "Margo" Carman passed away on August 30, 2008, at the grand age of 91. Edna, who was affectionately known as "Margo" by all who loved her, had been a resident of Albuquerque for 31 years. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Margo lived the first part of her life on Long Island, NY. She worked for the telephone company for 26 years, retiring in 1974. Margo was a high-spirited, loving woman who cared deeply for her family. She loved animals, storytelling, cooking and family gatherings. She also had a wonderful depth of wisdom and compassion. Margo enriched the lives of all who knew her. We will love you forever, Margo. Surviving family members include her daughter, Doris Polak and husband Ed; her grandchildren Wayne Cormack, Lori Cromack, Eddie Polak and wife Julie, Barbara Raymer and husband Jim and Kenneth Polak. Her great-grandchildren are Scott Cormack-DiStefano, Mark Cormack, Michelle Raymer, Sean and Max Polak, Michael Griego, and Jennifer Raymer. She is preceded in death by her husband Willis; her parents Joseph and Josephine Wolf; brother Joseph Wolf; daughter Carolyn Cormack and the many dogs and cats she dearly loved. A Memorial Service will be held at Aspen Funeral Alternatives, 1935 Juan Tabo NE, on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. with Pastor Don Gibson officiating. Inurnment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery and Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of New Mexico.
