OLWELL -- Frederick Olwell, 80, a resident of Albuquerque and formally of North Huntingdon, PA, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2008. Fred is survived by his wife, Eileen. He is also survived by sisters, Jane McMann of Indiana PA, Eleanor Zolcak and husband, Michael of Crownpoint, IN; brother, Richard Olwell and wife Betty of North Huntingdon, PA; sisters-in-law, Susan Martin of Albuquerque and Dorothy Kuhar of Wheeling, WV; and numerous nieces, nephews, and his faithful pet Hannah. Fred was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Price. The family would like to express their appreciation to Vista Care Hospice, as well as Dr. Jerome Snyder and his nurse, Jenny for their dedication to Fred during his illness. A special thank you to Deacon Al McLane of the Shrine of St. Bernadette for his unending support over the previous two years. A Rosary wake service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at French Mortuary - Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE. Friends may visit two hours prior to Rosary. Funeral Mass will be at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at the Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
