COLEMAN -- John Coleman, 81, went to be with the Lord on August 25th, 2008, after having a stroke a month earlier. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy; daughters, Debbie Rogulich and husband, Andy their children, David and Kimberly of Albuquerque, Susan Kestell and husband, Pastor Pat Kestell, their children, Stephen and his wife, Gayle of Blacksburg, VA, and Philip of Los Alamos. He was proceeded in death by his parents and his sister, Betty Jane (Coleman) Farmer. John was the son of John Edward and Johnie Augusta Coleman, of Oklahoma City, OK. John has been a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, he was employed at Sandia Laboratories for 31 years, fulfilling his dream of being an electrical engineer. He was an Oklahoma City boy, and graduated from Oklahoma A & M. John always enjoyed leading Bible studies and being leader of a Bible class. He was a "Precept" Bible Study leader for many years along with his wife as co-leader. In his retirement years he learned to woodcarve and enjoyed teaching others this art of crafting wood into a work of art. Visitation will be held at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Wednesday, August 27 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Services will be held at Hoffmantown Church, 8888 Harper Dr. NE , on Thursday , August 28, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. The Family requests donations be made in John's name to Gideon Bible International, C/O Robert Alvis, 3020 Camino Real Ct.
