WEIR -- Betty Keppel Weir, 98, resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1949, died August 23, 2008. Betty is survived by her son, Robert Keppel Weir and wife, Susan Steele Weir; grandchildren, Matthew Robert Weir and wife, Margaret, Michael Richard Weir and wife, Heather; great grandsons, Tyler James Weir, Brant Matthew Weir; and great granddaughter, Hailey Margaret Weir and numerous other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years James Edward Weir and her parents, Charles Pinkham Aicher and Pearl Aicher. Betty was a graduate Western State College in Gunnison, CO, was a teacher and also very active in the communities where she lived. She was a member of St. Marks on the Mesa Episcopal Church, active with the League of Women Voters, American Association of University Women, Pan American Round Table and The Albuquerque Art Museum. She was also a founding member of the Tennis Club of Albuquerque and on the Board of Directors of Encino House. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
