AMOS -- Rosie C. Amos, age 78 of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2008 at a local hospital. She was born on August 29, 1929 in Beaver County, OK, to Arvy and Edna Carter. Rosie married Donald E. Amos on October 18, 1952 in Richland, WA. She was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church, where she served as a librarian and office volunteer. Rosie was recognized for her 25 plus years of service with Meals on Wheels, in addition to being a full time homemaker, devoted wife, and mother. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Donald E.; daughter, Lynn Amos of Peekskill, NY; son, Bruce Amos of Albuquerque; sisters, Bess Randles, and Cleo Mason and husband, Robert, all of Hardesty, OK; brothers, Dick Carter and wife, Mary Ruthe of Amarillo, TX, and Joe Carter and wife, Darla of Wilson, CO; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews. Rosie was preceded in death by her sister, Jessie Schubert; brothers, Ray and Junior Carter. Memorial Services will be held Friday, July 18, 2008, 2:00 p.m., at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle SE, Albuquerque, NM.
