LUJAN -- Agnes Ignacita Lujan, born in Miera, NM, February 1, 1919 passed away peacefully on May 14, 2008. she was preceded in death by her parents, Marcelino and Cleotilde Garcia; husband. Amado Lujan; daughter, Elestina and son, Alfonso; brother, Frank Garcia and sister, Rebecca; sisters-in-law, Grace Lujan, Lucy Garcia and Helen Garcia. She is survived by son, Celso Lujan and wife Vivian and daughter, Frances Castillo and husband Bartolo. Two brothers, John and Tom Garcia and sister, Beatrice Zozaya. Ten grandchildren, Rosa Linda, Eduardo, Alfonso, and Sophia Lujan and their mother Rosa, all from Madrid, Spain. Also, Susan Scarvie, Christina Wootton, Priscilla Cascante, and Diana Lujan. Jeanette Alderete and Patricia Franklin. Agnes was blessed with sixteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her devoted care-giver Margaret Garcia. Agnes was owner of L&V restaurant located at Central and Edith SW, for many years, where her charity to students and street people was appreciated by many. She considered that group as part of her extended family. A Rosary will be recited at the Church of the Ascension at 2150 Raymac Rd. SW on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian burial, will be celebrated at the Church of the Ascension on May 19, 2008 at 10:30 AM with interment to follow at Pajarito cemetery. Fr. Juan Mendez will be the celebrant.
