YATES -- Elvera Ruth Yates, "Aunt Gertie", a resident of Albuquerque, passed away April 24, 2008. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Harry Robert Yates, and his children; daughter, Jean and husband, Mel Douthit, residents of Oklahoma; sons, Gary and wife, Janice Yates; and Wayne Yates of Albuquerque; nieces, Sandy Schotter, Paula and husband, Ray Pompa, Brenda and husband, Cameron Hull; and numerous grandchildren; and great nieces and nephews. Elvera was very thankful and appreciative for the loving and caring staff from Heartland Hospice and the wonderful night caregivers. A Memorial Celebration Service will be conducted Saturday, May 10, 2008, 10:30 a.m. in the chapel at St. Mark's on the Mesa, 431 Richmond Pl. NE
