WELCH -- Jack D. Welch, 66, longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, April 18, 2008 surrounded by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lynda; daughter, Dana Richardson; daughter-in-law, Michelle Welch; grandchildren, Johnathan, Danielle and Jacob Welch, and Ryan and Evan Richardson and their father, Greg; and several other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Jason Welch. After two tours of duty in Vietnam and a 22 year career in the Air Force, he retired, and Jack and Lynda moved to Albuquerque. They enjoyed traveling, and in 2006 they traveled to Japan to visit their son, Jason. They also enjoyed RVing with their friends, Bill and Karen Kraft. Jack spoiled his cocker spaniels and was an avid animal lover. He was always busy with his many hobbies. Jack will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel.
