ADAMS -- Amada Estelle "Stella" Adams, 81, resident of Albuquerque, died at home peacefully in her sleep Sunday, March 2, 2008. She is survived by daughters, Stella Hendricks and husband, Charles of San Antonio, TX, and Georgia Clark and husband, Larry of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Susan Gray and Michelle Basco and husband, Jamie of Shreveport, LA, and Jesse Gregerson of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Sarah and Peter Vogt of VA, Brynna and Skylar Nelson, and James Michael and John Gray Basco of LA; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, O L "Art" Adams; daughter, Nancy Folkner; and granddaughters, Kathleen, Karissa, and Kim Thompson. Stella enjoyed her flowers and her yard and sewing, but most of all, she loved her family and friends. She always welcomed people to her home and was generous and loving to all she met. Before her health prevented her, she would drive her friends to appointments or wherever they needed to go. The family would like to thank Stella's great-niece, Stephanie and husband, Richard Jones and neighbor, Sandi Villegas for their special care. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, March 4, 2008, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 5, 2008, 11:00 a.m., at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd NW.
