ULIBARRI -- Arsenio (Archie) Ulibarri passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the age of 84. One of 11 children, Arsenio was born April 12, 1923 in Shoemaker, NM to Candido and Leonides Ulibarri. Arsenio joined the Civilian Conservation Corps at the age of 16, and later served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, stationed at Coronado Island. In 1952, he married his wife of 56 years, Leonila, who survives him. He is also survived by his daughter, JoAnn; his grandson, Daniel; and three sisters, Beatriz Anaya, Fedelina Serna, and Emily Carrillo. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews, primos, compadres and friends. A Rosary will be recited Sunday, February 10, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 1820 Griegos Rd. NW. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at San Felipe de Neri Church in Old Town Albuquerque. Burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Ralph Quintana, Henry Gonzales, Mike Soberanez, Delfi Anaya, Herman Pedroncelli, and Don Vigil. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Berger, Justie Martinez, and Wilfred Pedroncelli. Arrangements by: Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 Third St. SW 247-4124
