MARTINEZ -- Eufelia Martinez, born November 24, 1930, went home to be with the Lord on February 5, 2008 at the age of 77. Eufelia was a life long member of the Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Armando Martinez; daughter, Peggy Martinez; parents, Tranquilino and Quiteria Barela; and her brother, Sesario Barela. She is survived by her husband, Victor Martinez; daughters, Dorothy Martinez, Susie Saavedra and husband, Mike, Jeanette Padilla and husband, Arthur; and son, Victor Martinez Jr. and wife, Lorraine; her two sisters, Flora Chavez and husband, Albert and Josie Gomez and husband, Larry; nine grandchildren, John Mirabal, Frank Mirabal and wife, Tess, Michelle Mirabal, Alicia Mirabal Manzano and husband, Daniel, Ambrosia Johnson and husband, David, Michael Saavedra and wife, Tabitha, Anthony Saavedra, Nicole Padilla and Joshua Padilla; six great-grandchildren, Exavier, David, Xavier, Analisse, Mikayla and Autumn. She is also survived by many relatives and friends who loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. A Rosary for Eufelia will be recited on Friday, February 8, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 8th Street Chapel . Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Edwin Catholic Church with interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Mirabal, Frank Mirabal, Michael Saavedra, Anthony Saavedra, Joshua Padilla and Marvin Chavez.
