BOSWELL -- James Perdue Boswell, 83, a resident of Corrales, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2008. He was born on October 24, 1924, in Helene, GA to James and Ada Boswell. 1st Lt. Boswell was a proud veteran, having served his country in both the Navy and as a pilot in the Air Force. Jim began his career as an air traffic controller with the CAA which later became the FAA; he retired from the FAA in 1978. He attended both the University of South Carolina and University of Georgia. He was a Methodist and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Jim is survived by his wife of 39 1/2 years, Nancy Bresenham Boswell; his three children, James H. Boswell of Chicago, Susan M. Boswell of Albuquerque and Melissa A. Zimmerman of Tulsa; two grandchildren, Aaron and Ashleigh; nieces, Nancy Ann and Barbara; nephew, Duke; brothers-in-law, Jack (Nancy) Bresenham and Dick (Kylene) Bresenham. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sammie; his brother, John; and sister, Rachel. Interment will be Thursday, January 24, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
