She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Arthur "Art" Akers; children, Roger Allen Akers of Portland, OR and Mary B. Schiefer of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Nichelle Gilbert, Roxanne Schiefer; great-granddaughter, Isabella Rosa; and nephews, Gary, John, and Bill.
